Honu Eclipse Festival

Total Solar Eclipse Festival of Tribal and Cosmic Arts for Peace. Music, dance, theatre, performance, talks, workshops, healing zone, kids zone, marketplace, and much more along the path of a total solar eclipse on Easter Island! World class music provided by the many participating music labels, including TIP World, Nano, Alchemy, Twisted, Neurobiotic, Interchill, Etnicanet, Planet BEN, and Liquid Records. The venue is a remote area of the island, with fresh water and sea views. The festival uses sustainable technologies while minimizing its ecological impact.

“HONU” is the Polynesian word for “sea turtle”, which was a sacred animal for the indigenous people, associated with solar eclipses.

For this special event, Dreamvibe (Chile's festival pioneer and Earthdance Chile producer) has teamed up with a local team on Rapa Nui (Easter Island) consisting of a most sacred family whose genetic line directly descends from the last "Ariki" (King). The land where the festival will be held is 100% private land, and is not part of the Rapa Nui National Park which is protected by Unesco and other governmental entities. This event is 100% eco-friendly.
