This is an example of why Earthdance Cape Town is AWESOME:

Hello,

Some close friends of Earthdance Cape Town, recently held a private party in aid of these two child-based organizations:

The Shine Centre - A Cape Town based centre which aims to help children who are historically or economically disadvantaged and to ensure that theses children are able to reach their full potential and receive support in language and literacy.

Starfish Great Hearts Foundation - This organisation was established on Freedom Day 2002 in South African and since then it has continued to grow to Europe and America. The vision of Starfish Foundation was to create an international development charity to bring life, hope and opportunity to orphaned children in South Africa.

Earthdance Cape Town agreed to match the funds that this private party raised and therefore we are proud to announce that both charities will be receiving R28000 each.

Thanks to everyone who has made Earthdance Cape Town such a success. It is only through your participation in the event that all of this is possible. Please visit these two websites and take some time to learn about how others are making a difference in our local community, and maybe it will give you an idea of how you could help. The Shine Centre can always do with volunteers, to help teach their kids to read and write, so if you feel you can spare an hour a week to help, please get hold of them.

Have a great day.
