Este es el primer año en que participamos en Earthdance International, un día de danza y plegaria por la paz mundial. Estamos orgullosos de formar parte de un proyecto tan precioso, que ofrece un evento para que las familias puedan disfrutar, bailar, comer y rezar juntas por la paz. Y todo ello en un ambiente sin humo ni alcohol.

EARTHDANCE es una organización internacional sin ánimo de lucro que promueve la paz y apoya causas humanitarias a través del lenguaje universal de la música y el baile, por medio de eventos organizados en todo el planeta en los que se invita a los asistentes a unirse a una plegaria por la paz sincronizada mundialmente que ha tenido lugar en más de 300 lugares en 60 países.

Nuestro evento incluirá una apertura (plegaria en farsi), música para bailar cortesía del DJ T-Bird, actuaciones y ofrendas de danza y música del mundo y actividades para niños.

Rogamos que cada persona traiga un plato vegetariano o bebida sin alcohol para compartir y su propia taza, plato o cuenco y cubiertos.

El lema de EARTHDANCE de este año es “Bendecir a los Niños” y parte de los fondos recaudados se destinarán a la Asociación Save the Gambian Orphans - una fundación benéfica establecida en España, que tiene el objetivo de lograr una dinámica social integral a través de la educación-agricultura-cultura con el fin de evitar el éxodo masivo de los habitantes jóvenes de Gambia hacia Europa en busca de "un futuro mejor". T-Bird and I are busy organizing the Barcelona Earthdance International™ event Sat. Sept. 26. It will take place at the Integral Yoga Center in St. Pere de Ribes. We've planned an afternoon of dancing, sharing vegetarian food and non-alcoholic drink with friends, there will be performances of dance and music. Finally, we will join our voices with the kirtan group from the yoga center finish the day with the Earthdance International Peace Prayer, joining people around the world in a collective wish for a peace-filled planet.

For the children there will be face painting and coloring in the garden and for grown-ups there will be a table to leave business cards or other information so we can support each other in as many ways as possible.

The entrance fee of 5 euros goes to cover costs of the event and any money over that amount goes to a registered charity, Save the Gambian Orphans. Everyone is asked to bring a vegetarian dish or alcohol-free drink to share (4-6 people) and their own plate, cup and silverware to reduce trash from the event.
